Vampwolves
A Vampwolf is a cross-breed between a vampire and a werewolf. They are not a lesser being by far as they have all of the strengths of both races and none of the weaknesses. They are considered by many to be the superior race to them both.

Originally created to serve the vampires during their cruel, dark reign, they were once a forced phenomenon, but now occur naturally when a mating pair of a werewolf and vampire come together.

What a Vampwolf Looks Like
Vampwolves appear similar to vampires when it comes to their looks, having a human form when they are in their "default" stage. As such, they also have all of the vampire's features, such as sharp, pointed, retractable fangs that replace their human canines. This set of fangs descend at the vampwolf's will, usually when about to feed, or when threatened or attacking. Vampwolves also have incredibly sharp fingernails which are almost claw-like. These claw-like fingernails can be made to extend at will and are one of the vampwolf's natural weapons.

Like a vampire, everything about a vampwolf changes to become enticing to others. In other words, a vampwolf becomes more beautiful and attractive in order to attract their prey to them. This also means that they have adapted other means of luring in their prey such as a natural sweet smelling, alluring body scent that smells similar to perfume or cologne. This scent varies from vampwolf to vampwolf.

The Nature of a Vampire
Like vampires, Most vampwolves are friendly, desiring to live their lives as normal as possible without having to fear for their lives. They are very social creatures, desiring to have friends, attend special events and parties just like any human.

While most vampwolves are like any other human in terms of personality, it should be noted that like all other creatures they are extremely individualistic. Meaning, vampwolves are not to be thought of as fitting a specific stereotype regardless of good encounters.

All vampwolves have a personality of their own and should be thought of as an individual. Any encounters with a new vampwolf should be treated as a dangerous encounter as you never know which vampwolf is "good" and which is out for your head.

Shifting
All vampwolves are born with the ability to shift, as with any werewolf. These shifting abilities should appear within the first month of birth, if not the vampwolf is either not a full blooded vampwolf, or it is born with a rare genetic condition that prohibits its body from shifting.

For those who do come into their shifting abilities, they are not forced to shift on a full moon. They can shift into their wolf form, or an in between form (where only ears and tail show) at will. However, shifting, as with all special abilities, are something that a young vampwolf must learn to control.

Creation
Most vampwolves are born naturally from a sexual union of vampire and werewolf. Forcing a werewolf to become a vampire is more often than not a wasted effort, since it is more apt to kill them than turn them. Despite this, there have been a few successful attempts in the past.

Creating a vampwolf in the "traditional" way means that a human must first become or already be a werewolf, then he/she must then go through the blood sharing ritual of a vampire where they willingly (or forcefully) drink a vampire's blood. A vampire cannot become a vampwolf as being infected by a werewolf's bite often spells death for a vampire.

Immunity
Vampwolves, unlike vampires, are immune to all known illnesses of both the vampires and the werewolves. This factor alone makes them a species that are more apt to survive an epidemic for either species.

Laws
Vampwolves do not follow the laws of werewolves, as they have little to no pack mentality. Instead, they follow the laws of the Vampire Code and rule of the Vampire king.

Aging ("Growing up")
Vampwolves, like vampires, take a year to mature or grow up. This is due to their vampiric genes.

Also like vampires, after reaching their natural maturation, they will not age anymore. As with the myths around vampires, they do not age once they have matured.

By the time they reach maturation, their bodies have fully developed to be a perfect predator. Abilities, aside from shifting, among vampwolves should begin to surface within the first three to six months of their life/transition. However, there are some rare cases that a vampwolf will not develop vampiric powers other than the natural heightened senses and abilities all vampires have.

The One
The One, for a vampwolves, is their true love and chosen, no matter their species or gender. This vampiric force is part of a vampwolf's DNA and thus cannot, despite attempts, be ignored of overridden.

Many vampwolves seek out their One for their entire lives, and travel all over the world in search of them.

Often, once found, vampwolves will change/turn their One should they be any thing other than a vampire (except werewolves as they cannot be turned). This bond is felt by both beings and is a bond that none can explain. This bond can also not be explained by any natural means.

Classes

  • Nobles- Nobles are those who are high born, often hailing from families who are rich and have been a historical part of society for generations.

  • Aristocrat- Aristocrats are considered to be an elite member of society. They are members of a  privileged upper class. Each member of these families have a head of house that attends Royal court with their slave at their side, kneeling to attend to their needs during court.

    They tend to look down their noses at most of the younger, more modern ways of doing things, including those who look down on slavery and things of that nature.

  • Commoner- These are those who are classified as the "other". They're not high born, nor are they rich. Instead, they're a simple class of vampwolf who tend to be everyday working class citizens.


Ranks

  • Koer- These vampwolves are considered to function as leaders to the other ranks of the vampwolves and are considered to be exclusive ranks for those of the Noble class.

  • Pedel- Pedels are vampwolves who are members of the aristocrat class. They act as the second in command to the Koer if they're forced to be in a pack situation. hey're strong and smart and are considered to be the high rank of the vampwolves, an elite rank that every member of the Trim rank dream of becoming.

  • Trim- The normal rank or "default" rank that most of the vampwolves fall into. This rank means that they hold at least some slight status in their society.

Abilities
((**Note, All of these powers are at their basic or lowest levels, unless you take the time when applying to look up any you wish to augment and make higher, but in doing so you must look at the limitations for that power and add them in accordingly.))


  • Vampwolf- User with this ability either is or can transform into a Vampwolf, a halfbreed of a vampire and a werewolf which takes an equal amount of characteristics from each parent species. For instance most vampwolves still need to consume blood regularly and may still be affected by the presence of a full moon.

  • Claw Retraction-The user can project and retract razor-sharp claws from their fingertips for offensive purposes.

  • Enhanced Bite-The user has particularly strong bite, either because of sharp teeth, strong jaw-muscles, unusual jaw-structure (mandibles of insects, beak, etc.) or some other reason. Exactly what they can bite depends of the jaw-strength, resilience of their teeth/bite-surface and their shape.

  • Immortality-Users possess an infinite life span, and can shrug off virtually any kind of physical damage. Some users are the defensive type, simply preventing such damage from appearing (invulnerability/protection), while others are the regenerative type, surviving and quickly recovering from anything you throw at them.

  • Regenerative Healing Factor-The user can rapidly regenerate, in other words, they recreate lost or damaged tissues, organs and limbs, sometimes slowing, or even stopping, aging. The rate and amount of healing varies widely, some can regrow missing limbs, others must put the limb back in place for rapid regeneration. They are generally in very good physical shape as their bodies are constantly reverting to healthy state.

  • Supernatural Condition-Users are glaringly, obviously and super/unnaturally superior over their race because their capabilities are pushed to the superhuman level; making them immensely stronger, faster, durable and smarter than normal members of their species (in that 'verse) can achieve by any method of training and remain that way with little or no maintaining.

    On the other hand, the only way for users to strengthen this ability is to perform intensive training or exercise. For example, to increase ones superhuman strength, they would have to lift tons of weight many times a day.  

  • Contaminant Immunity-The user is immune to some, if not all, known poisons, toxins, venom's, viruses, bacteria, etc.

  • Enhanced Combat-The user is unbelievably skilled in most known forms of fighting. They can be exceptionally proficient in the fighting traditions of a variety of cultures and become advanced with their own individual methods of close quarter combat, including martial arts (from all over the world), boxing, and wrestling. They can also become superhumanly skilled in their use of weaponry.

  • Enhanced Durability-The user's physical durability (ability to endure/resist damage) is extremely high, allowing them to take numerous blows of internal or external assaults before succumbing to the effects.

  • Poison Immunity-The user is immune to all forms of poisons/toxins/venom.

  • Supernatural Agility-Users are glaringly, obviously and super/unnaturally more agile than their race because their capabilities are pushed to the superhuman level; making them immensely more agile and able to combine their of balance, bodily coordination, speed, reflexes, strength and endurance than normal members of their species (in that 'verse) can achieve by any method of training.

  • Supernatural Endurance-Users are glaringly, obviously and super/unnaturally more enduring than their race because their capabilities are pushed to the superhuman level; making them immensely durable/work longer/survive without supplies, resources, energy, or other items for an extended amount of time longer than normal members of their species (in that 'verse) can be achieve by any method of training.

  • Supernatural Senses-User senses of sight, taste, hearing, touch, and smell are glaringly, obviously and super/unnaturally more acute than their race. They can see kilometers away, see the faintest distinctions/track things too fast for the natural eye, hear through dense walls perfectly, listen to a sweat drop from someones face in another room, smell anything over wast distances, able to smell individual molecules/atoms, conceptual forces and even immaterial beings/entities, taste the smallest details; to the extent of molecular distinguishment, and feel the slightest vibration in the air and ground.

  • Enhanced Smell-Users can detect specific persons, objects, substances or even places, locate their origin and track with nothing but their nose. Some may even be able to detect lying, sicknesses or tumors by which hormones/smells they excrete.

  • Enhanced Hearing-Users have ears enhanced to hear with amazing clarity, distance, and even frequencies outside normal range. Users ears can pick up every single sound, can decipher layer upon layer of differing sounds/conversations, locate the source of noise or pick up a sound from a mile away in a busy city.

  • Night Vision -User has excellent night vision, the ability to see in low light conditions or even total darkness. Whether by biological or technological means, night vision is made possible by a combination of two approaches: sufficient spectral range, and sufficient intensity range.

  • Supernatural Speed-Users are glaringly, obviously and super/unnaturally faster over their race because their capabilities are pushed to the superhuman level, making them immensely faster than normal members of their species (in that 'verse) without the need to train.

  • Supernatural Stamina-Users stamina is glaringly, obviously and super/unnaturally greater than their race because their capabilities are pushed to the supernatural level; making them immensely more enduring than normal members of their species (in that 'verse) can be achieve by any method of training.

  • Supernatural Strength -Users are glaringly, obviously and super/unnaturally stronger than their race because their capabilities are pushed to the superhuman level; making them immensely stronger than normal members of their species (in that 'verse) can be achieve by any method of training.
